Application Deadlines


● Undergraduate and Graduate Programs:

(Note: All undergraduate and graduate programs start in the Fall semester only)


● Chinese Studies Certificate Program:

Fall semester: June 15th;

Spring semester: December 15th


● Short-term Chinese Language Program:

Any time of the year.


● Chinese Language and Culture Summer Camp:

Step 1: Prepare your application package.
All applications must include the following items:
1. Completed application form, which can be downloaded from http://en.sias.edu.cn/.
2. A copy of the ID page of your valid passport.
3. A copy of the diploma of your highest level of education (e.g. High School diploma or degree).
4. Application fees of 350 RMB.

 

Step 2: Send your application package to:

Step 3: Apply for a Student (X) Visa at Chinese Embassy.
Students are responsible for applying for their Chinese visa in their home country at their nearest Chinese Embassy or Consulate. As soon as students have received an official invitation letter of acceptance from SIAS, which will include the government JW202 form, they should apply for their Student visa immediately. After arrival in China, SIAS will assist each student in obtaining a residency permit as required by Chinese law.

Step 4: Get to SIAS
Upon receipt of the student visa, inform the School of Chinese Language and Culture of your travel itinerary. SIAS will provide FREE airport pick-up for student from Zhengzhou International Airport (CGO). Be certain to schedule your travel to leave ample time (two to three days minimum) before the semester begins in order to adjust to the time change and new living accommodations prior to the start of classes.

Academic Calendar


Sias International University follows the Chinese academic calendar. There are two semesters per one school-year: the Fall semester and the Spring semester. Generally, the Fall semester begins at the last Monday in August and lasts 18 weeks. Between Fall and Spring semesters there is the winter break for approximately five weeks from late January to late February. The Spring semester begins after the Chinese Spring Festival and lasts 18 weeks, generally ending in late June.
